Learn more about Fascia, its role in the body, and how you can tend to the wellbeing of your fascia.
Fascia is connective tissue. It includes our tendons and ligaments and is also found around our organs and muscles. Fascia is made up of elastin, fluid, and neuroreceptors that facilitate communication between our various systems. When fascia dries out or loses its elasticity and fluidity, it can impede function and cause pain.
During this workshop, we'll delve a little deeper into the fascinating world of fascia and learn various techniques that restore hydration and elasticity to our connective tissue. Part lecture, part practice, the workshop will also include a fascia body type assessment to inform clients of their particular needs.
Workshop will be offered both in studio and virtually. Please be sure to sign up for intended one.
Equipment Needed: a yoga mat, a tennis ball, water, and a sturdy chair (studio guests will use the barre)
